The performance "R-rated" will trigger your need to rebel and understand what, when and why certain things are happening to you.
The borders between art and entertainment, performance and representation, reality shows and video art, visibility and authenticity, will be crossed, interchanged to the point of loosing the contrast, and producing new hybrids. When changes need to be made, it is impossible to keep the common sense, one needs to change ones perception and actions, separate them from the ego centrism, and deal with the situation in a new, sometimes unimaginable way. In that sense, one cannot be an ordinary person, but hybrid by definition.
The exhibition will be praising these changes, call the hybrids heroes, and connect the (fake) art with the (real) life.
The MAFIA will become one with the audience and the festival, invisibly directing and embodying the today’s concept of a city and its festivals.
Everything will be festivalized and made into a spectacular show.

FreeJ is an open source software for making live video. FreeJ lets you interact with multiple layers of video, filtered by effect chains and then mixed together. Controllers can be scripted for keyboard, midi and joysticks, to manipulate images, movies, live cameras, particle generators, text scrollers, flash animations and more. It is written as a multi-threaded engine that runs efficiently on modern multi-core computers, where the resulting video mix can be shown on multiple and remote screens, encoded into a movie and streamed live to the internet.

Ik gebruik mezelf meestal als uitgaanspunt om ook telkens die confrontatie met mezelf aan te gaan.Ook belangrijk is deze confrontatie om mijn kunstenaarschap te kunnen blijven ontwikkelen en kritisch te blijven,humor speelt hierin soms een belangrijke rol.
Thema’s zoals traditie, female masculanity, en verlangen geef ik vorm door gebruik te maken van culturele iconen/verschijnselen uit verschillende culturen. |  |

Two girls work in a New York bar. In the middle of the winter they are half-naked, mandatory condition or uniform in accordance with the tropical theme of the bar. .. more They kill time retouching make-up, talking on the phone, receiving the odd customer.
Through image and sound edit possible narratives are built and deconstructed, while ambients and atmospheres are constantly destabilized by the inclusion of noise, atonal music, street sounds, manipulations and soundscapes suggestions.
Breaking the harmony, one begins to approach, in the intermediate space, the experience of the moment and artificial proximity with the object, even if these exist only in a virtual space-time.

“Echoing ghost”, video, collaboration with Art Johnson The video deconstructs an iconic film scene, by focusing on one pivotal moment that pushes the use of exaggerated sexual innuendo in the cinematic portrayal of romance to its limits. By repeating the same action again and again, it explores the reality of sensuality and awkwardness and the role of man and woman in a classic setup, reevaluating our internalized pop culture.

Onder de steden die bedolven lagen onder de as van de Vesuvius heeft men sporen aangetroffen van nog oudere steden, op hun beurt begraven in een nog verder verleden. Hun bewoners hebben gebouwd op de aslaag die de vorige stad bedekte…”
De korte film Echoes (HD, 14'58") bestaat uit drie verhalen. Deze verhalen worden bijeengebracht door de hoofdpersoon: een jongen die zijn tent aan de rand van de stad heeft opgezet. Terwijl hij slapeloos voor zich uit staart denkt hij terug aan een krantenbericht dat hij herhaaldelijk leest. Hij raakt verwikkeld in zijn herinneringen. De chronologie van de belevingen wordt verwisseld. Dag wordt nacht en nacht wordt dag.

The moment when you start looking for a savior because of pure boredom, the moment when you realize that salvation, whatever salvation may mean, is not to be obtained by any reasonable terms.
What is the one certain thing about the qualifications of a saviour? That he should not be an ordinary man. The saviour can only appear as the result of some extraordinary accident, quite contrary to whatever is normal.
Having got everything you wanted, you discover you did not want it after all and now you must pay.
