Next Gen Commercial Open Call

This year the International Amsterdam Film Festival decided to introduce a new award next to the existing awards; best international feature, short, music video and Dutch feature/short and music video.
Therefore our guest curator Patrick van Haperen (concept developer / creative at PH/Law) will be putting together a program of the most daring, original, and artistically provocative commercials in IAFF's new category 'Next Gen Commercial', specifically targeting the creative industry in the Netherlands.
The Amsterdam Hero Award for 'Next Gen Commercial' strives to be an additional impulse for new talented young creatives, working or with the ambition to be working in the world of advertising. It encourages them to keep on pursuing their creative minds instead of conforming to a sometimes dictating log advertising/marketing world.
What are we looking for?
Next Gen Commercial will showcase edgy commercials by professional creatives working as a junior (copy/art/concept) at an ad agency for less than a year or by ambitious creatives (students/graduates) not yet working in advertising.
Cutting-edge commercials which have been produced for a client, commercials who where rejected by clients and commercials which are still in pre-production phase including the pitch work or portfolio/student work.
